Rebuild Your Capacity
You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you cannot co-regulate a child from an exhausted nervous system. Our goal is to help you navigate chronic stress, and develop practical strategies to support your own wellbeing.
This service is partially rebatable under a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan for individuals with a diagnosable mental health condition where psychological symptoms are linked to parent or caregiver stress.
If you are running on empty, feeling completely overwhelmed, or experiencing intense parenting stress, this service pivots the clinical spotlight onto your psychological health. Utilising evidence-based therapeutic frameworks, we take an individualised approach in supporting you to develop your internal psychological resources and coping mechanisms.
Therapeutic Approach
When working with you, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all checklist. We integrate evidence-based strategies from:
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): To help you tap into what is already working, and design quick, practical solutions to target immediate concerns.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): To help you identify and break out of unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns that keep you stuck in a loop.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT): To help you drop the struggle, be present and move forward aligned to your core values.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills: To give you concrete, actionable tools for distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and de-escalating explosive moments.
Trauma-Informed & Neuro-Affirming Frameworks: To give you a deeply compassionate, judgement-free space where you can make sense of and work with your unique nervous system.
The First Step
We start with a single, dedicated Initial Psychological Needs Assessment. This is a safe, confidential space to unpack exactly what is happening in your home, look at where you are running on empty, and map out a therapeutic plan.
The Pathway Forward
Following your initial assessment, most parents choose to work with me over a structured approx 5-session fortnightly framework. This allows us to gain some momentum as we work toward building your psychological resources.
Where: Available via convenient telehealth or in-person (Camden, NSW).
Medicare & GP Referrals: If you are attending under a GP Mental Health Care Plan, we will handle all the communication and send a progress report straight back to your doctor at the end of our work together.
Disclaimer: Individual clinical outcomes vary. A full initial assessment is required to determine suitability, treatment planning, and Medicare rebate eligibility.
Fees & Medicare Rebates
This service uses a mixed-billing gap model with the 5 clinical sessions eligible for Medicare rebates.
Step 1: Attend an Initial Psychological Needs Assessment ($300 extended 75-Min session payable at time of booking, no rebate applies).
Step 2: See your GP if you haven’t already to obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Step 3: Attend your 50-Min clinical sessions as booked. They will be billed individually on the day of your appointment at $200 per session.
By bringing a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP under your own name, your rebate will be processed by us.
With a Registered Psychologist: You receive a $101.55 Medicare rebate per session. Your real out-of-pocket gap is $98.45 per clinical session.
